This season’s colour palette is anything but shy. From smouldering shades that radiate heat to soft, romantic tones that soothe and settle, Summer 2025 is full of contrast and character. Its palette plays with opposites: vibrant, flame-licked hues like Aperol orange and deep tobacco brown meet dreamy pastels like butter yellow, powder pink and sky blue.

Earthy warmth continues its rise, with soft brown “Mocha Mousse” setting the tone as Pantone’s Colour of the Year, while fresh white, dill green and rich teal provide a cooler counterpoint.

The result is a colour story that feels equal parts sultry and serene – perfect for expressive interiors with a sense of relaxed chic.

Zesty and grounded

Buttery yellow tones are making their mark, offering a nuanced warmth that feels both spirited and sophisticated.

This unexpectedly versatile shade is fantastic for pairing with crisp whites and mute neutrals, yet sits equally comfortable with bolder greens, blues and rich browns.

We especially love this bold pairing from Mandarin Stone: Brixton Barley Gloss and Brixton Olive porcelain tiles, anchored by Fragmenta Green Terrazzo Effect flooring. The soft, dimpled gloss of Barley adds light and texture, playing beautifully against the earthier olive tones and rich terrazzo base.

Scorched neutrals & sun-soaked peach

This season, peach tones are quietly redefining the role of warm neutrals in interiors. Less sugary than blush, and more grounded than apricot, this season’s peach sits confidently between sunbaked terracotta and soft coral. It feels grown-up yet easy, evoking slow, sunlit afternoons and a touch of Mediterranean charm.

In this family room, peach finds its stride, layered across relaxed upholstery and set against warm wood and deep teal. The palette feels comforting and unforced, striking a balance between laid-back bohemian and contemporary polish. Paired with crisp whites or deeper hues, these tones bring warmth and softness without overpowering the space.

Sultry hues, timeless appeal

Deep, moody and full of soul, this season’s red spectrum channels a rich Mediterranean warmth. Think terracotta meets burnt umber, with earthy undertones and a luxurious glossy finish.

Here, Mandarin Stone’s Hoxton Tuscan Pink Gloss Porcelain tile offers a bolder take on classic terracotta. It’s sultry pink hue and high-shine surface bring depth, drama and a refined edge to interior spaces. The perfect palette cleanser for those craving a colour story that is both grounded and glamorous.

In our Hampstead project, this season’s colour stories are introduced with subtlety and purpose. Accents of sage, soft blush and terracotta are layered into the otherwise neutral palette, bringing depth and character without detracting from the space’s calm, considered tone. The artwork plays an integral role in anchoring the scheme, echoing the zesty and sun-soaked hues explored throughout this edit. It is a reminder that colour need not dominate to make an impact – when used with restraint, it enhances both the elegance and longevity of a space.
