Set in South West London, this expansive mock-Tudor home required a design approach that respected its distinctive character while supporting the needs of a young family. Our brief was to create a relaxed, functional interior that complemented the period architecture, with reception rooms that could shift easily between everyday use and more formal entertaining.
The historic detailing played an important role in guiding the palette, ensuring the contemporary updates felt naturally connected to the home’s original identity rather than a modern imposition.
To achieve this balance we introduced clean lines, bespoke storage and understated soft furnishings, using them as a calm backdrop for a curated selection of antique pieces. These carefully sourced antiques help ground the interiors, adding warmth and a sense of continuity throughout the home.
The result is a welcoming, versatile family space that feels both considered and lived in, a project shaped around comfort, practicality and a strong connection to its architectural roots.
