Located within the historic redevelopment of the former Brompton Hospital, this Chelsea duplex offered classic proportions and a distinctive architectural character. As a secondary residence, our clients wanted the apartment to feel calm, elegant and effortless; a place they could step into and immediately feel settled.
Although the property had strong architectural bones, the layout needed rethinking to accommodate updated technology and a clearer sense of flow. Our approach focused on a cohesive, contemporary scheme that respected the building’s heritage while supporting a modern pace.
We refined the interior architecture to improve circulation, introduced tailored bespoke joinery to maximise the floor plan and softened the overall palette to create a sense of ease.
The result is a home that feels grounded yet elevated – a quiet retreat designed for comfort in the heart of Chelsea. It stands as a testament to our belief that a home should be a seamless extension of the person living in it, balancing the building’s elegant charm with a sharp, contemporary sensibility that avoids the obvious.
