North Finchley

North London

The owners of this five-bedroom home welcomed the opportunity to reimagine their traditional 1930s property as an inviting and flexible contemporary family home. Our clients sought an elegantly relaxed, aspirational scheme, focusing on family-friendly spaces that could flex effortlessly between everyday living and large-scale entertaining.

Crucially, the goal was to achieve this transformation without major structural changes. They wanted a home that transitioned seamlessly from the pace of daily life to grown-up gatherings.

Our approach reflects the client’s personality and great sense of style, introducing a natural flow and atmosphere throughout. The result balances ease and elegance, offering character and considered spaces for every moment. To bring definition to the large open-plan kitchen and dining layout, we introduced a floor-to-ceiling dividing wall to act as a functional breakpoint.

We incorporated clever gadgetry into this partition: a discreet 360-degree revolving panel that houses a television on one side and an original oil painting on the reverse. This allows our clients to dial social interaction or formality up or down as desired.
