This St John’s Wood home had served a busy family for many years, but with a new chapter ahead our clients were ready for change. They wanted the interiors to reflect this shift – calmer, more refined and suited to a flexible way of living; comfortable for the everyday yet generous enough for grand entertaining.
The property spans five floors, with space thoughtfully arranged across lower levels for hosting and upper floors for retreat. A sweeping staircase allows for an elegant division between these zones, all set against a backdrop of exquisitely balanced proportions and classical detailing.
The project was a full interior architecture refurbishment shaped around a clear set of priorities. The brief required two dedicated studies to support daily working life, and a layout that could shift effortlessly between large-scale gatherings and quieter, more intimate moments.
Along with the complete redesign of the kitchen and all bathrooms, we integrated discreet technological updates, from layered lighting to seamless security services – ensuring the home’s classical heritage is supported by entirely modern functionality.

“Honouring the rituals of family mealtimes and social gatherings was a principle we embraced at every stage of this design from the open plan yet subtly zoned living room housing a hidden cocktail bar to the sheer pocket doors which provide instant demarcation of the kitchen, dining and lounge areas.”
