We were delighted to be announced as a finalist for Bathroom Designer for our Palace Court project in the Homes & Gardens Designer Awards 2014.
The brief for this ‘purple’ bathroom in our Palace Court project was to incorporate unique materials that represented the client’s fashion-conscious style and love of raw materials, juxtaposed with contemporary finishes. The bathroom walls were hand-painted in a plaster effect while the floor tiles, sourced from a Danish company, provide a contemporary twist on a traditional concept.
The design is brought together by a palette of warm greys with bursts of purple and green while the antique mirror adds a softening touch to the harder materials. The brief for the Fornasetti bathroom was to collate a scheme that would remain appealing over time.
Using a palette of white, black and champagne, the scheme has been executed in a quirky manner using Fornasetti tiles as a feature wall. The champagne textured floor tiles appear translucent when laid, while the Bisazza Diamante contemporary sanitaryware complete the look.
